Luke von Wustefeuer is a 3 ½ month AKC German Shepherd puppy. He is a stunning looking puppy, with shiny healthy fur, great muscle tone and very athletic, smart and already has a protection drive. He is at the front gate in a second. He isn’t mouthy as far as your fingers and ankles, he isn’t destructive and would rather lounge on a huge dog bed and chew a rawhide bone. He is doing well with housebreaking as long as you are keeping an eye on him. Luke was purchased from a breeder in Lancaster.  Unfortunately, Luke has a problem of chasing his tail, it can happen for an assortment of reasons but we feel with Luke it was for lack of a stimulating enough environment. We are working with Luke, if he starts getting focused on his tail we tell him “no” and redirect his attention. He is doing really well but needs someone with him 24/7 right now. He sleeps through the night at the side of the bed, he plays in the study when his foster mom is working on the computer, he loves long walks with her dogs and doggy playtime. If he is left alone he starts reverting to grabbing his tail and barking. We feel he is making progress, but he needs someone with him for the next few months, we are hoping his problem will be the thing of the past. Luke is a strong dog, with a strong personality, he needs a confident owner to work with him and to teach him and make life interesting for him.  He is so worth the effort, he will be an amazing dog for the right person with the time to devote to him.
